Ian Hepher; Distance Learning Consultant,Educational Enhancement Team Lethbridge College

Topic:

 

Mr. Hepher will speak about the Educational Enhancement Team (EET).  The purpose of the EET is to provide a wide array of instructional design and multimedia services that support teaching and learning at Lethbridge College.  It works across all college departments, providing instructor support for both on campus and online learning, and developmental and creative services whereever they are needed.

Speaker's Bio:

 

Ian worked for 20 years in corrections before moving to Lethbridge College.  He was a probation officer, community corrections manager, and prison director along the way.  He was the first instructor in Correctional studies at the college, and has been part of the evolution of that department from a 2nd year diploma specialization to a full four year (2+2) diploma and degree program.  Along the way he became interested in online learning, and is currently spends half his time as a Distance Learning Consultant with the Educational Enhancement Team at the college and the other half as an instructor in Correctional Studies within the School of Justice Studies

 

Ian is married to JoAnn St. John; they have 5 children in their blended family, and six grandchildren.  He plays guitar and other instruments in The Glencoulee Band, and belongs to the Werthogs Homebrew club.
