Lynne Hunter-Johnston

Speaker Bio:

As Consulting Director of the award-winning Healing Arts programs for over 20 years at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Alberta health Services, Lynne invites artists and arts activities into the health care environment. Art, music, humour, movement, and relaxation are proven to aid in the healing process. Through Lynne’s guidance and the financial support of the Auxiliary to the CRH and The Friends of the CRH, patients and staff receive visits from Caring Clowns, strolling musicians and storytellers, a Music Cart, an Art Cart and artists at the bedside. As well partnerships have been formed with Diabetes Lipid Education, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Mental Health that bring laughter, stress busting, Tai Chi, Labyrinths, and creativity programs to patients, clients, staff, and the general public.
