Tyler Ramsay, Lethbridge Family Services

Supporting the Integration of Internationally Educated Professionals into the Workplace

This presentation will highlight the benefits and ways to support the integration of Internationally Educated Professionals into the Lethbridge workplace. In particular, I will highlight the strengths that Internationally Educated Professionals bring, the weaknesses that Internationally Educated Professionals need support with, the opportunities for both individuals as well and businesses to get involved and the risks that losing Internationally Educated Professionals from the workplace and community can have.

I have worked with Lethbridge Family Services – Immigrant Services for going on seven years in a variety of capacities. From working with highly vulnerable government assisted refugees in developing life skills, supporting the community integration on newcomers to Canada, to now supporting the employment goals of Internationally Educated Professionals.
